Great trail shoe

I decided to try this shoe after using NB 606 for almost a year. I like the darker color since I usually walk in the woods and I like New Balance because they offer a wide shoe, which I need. These are definitely wide enough. I wore them right out of the box for my daily 3.5 mile walk. My only complaint is that they seem a little "soft", they're not very stiff.

Look GREAT But Little Support

I love the look of these shoes, and they're comfortable! HOWEVER, I have extreme chronic back pain and I'm looking for something that is functional on the treadmill, on pavement and on trails. As with most New Balance shoes, this one is snug in the toe box (I ordered both regular and wide widths) and this one is also a bit wide in the heel. The Country Walking Trail Shoe offers no arch support and minimal heal support, which puts a strain on my lower back. It's a soft shoe; I need something sturdier. I will be returning them.

I like the shoe, it is a good quality shoe, I dont love it, I love the NB606,but couldn't find them in my size,this shoes top lace hole is to far up the top of my foot. To me the 606 is a more comfortable shoe
