Because barefoot trail running just isn't practical, Columbia offers the next best thing. Low-profile, lightweight, and incredible nimble, the minimal Columbia Master Fly is all about going farther, faster. The more you can feel the trail, the more quickly and easily you can navigate it. Keeping that in mind, they created the Columbia Master Fly, which combines barefoot agility with essential protection. A closed mesh upper features welded seams and a Techlite® tongue for lightweight support and comfort. The Techlite midsole is designed with an off-set heel for a low-profile ride, while a forefoot nylon rock guard shields feet from sticks and stones. Underfoot, an Omni-Grip® rubber outsole boasts strategically placed traction lugs to keep you steady in all kinds of trail conditions.

Great-looking shoe: Support, not so much

I really like the color of this shoe, in addition to liking Columbia products. For a trail shoe, however, it lacks more cushioning and support than expected. This shoe will still be good to wear when I'm visiting canyon trails, but will need a gel insole to make sure I can stand wearing them for long periods of time.

My wife is size 8, but she had to walk inside our house for a while, before use it outside, she said it was a little small for her, after that she enjoy it, very confortable. Next Time columbia = plus 1/2 in size.

Compact and portable shoes. But the head is a little too tight so after running my toe seemed to be worn out. Maybe because I have big toes ╮(╯▽╰)╭
