Complete garbage that falls apart.

Two days after I had these shoes, the black rubber along the edge of the sole started peeling. Not even three weeks after wearing these, the sole separated from the upper on BOTH shoes during a trip and before the end of the day, one of them had almost completely come apart. I walk more than most people, and go through more shoes in a year than most people, but a hundred dollar shoe that can't last a month?Since I was on a trip, I was forced to buy another pair and toss these, so I had no chance of returning them, or redeeming on the warranty. I wish I had taken a picture of the utter failure of these things.First time I tried this brand, first time I've ever had a pair of shoes do that to me, so it's the last time I wear that brand.

Great for the right person...

First I purchased my size, 11.5. It was too small. Next, I purchased a 12.0. Too big! Really! These must have been manufactured in different places. I have always wanted a pair of GoLites. They do feel like they would be super comfortable if they fit. 2 stars because Amazon made returning these a non-issue. Thank you Amazon! I buy almost all online purchases at Amazon.

Excellent hiking shoe!

I got these for my safari in Africa as a last minute addition. I didn't have time to wear them or break them in as I usually do (I hate getting blisters from new shoes). I was a bit concerned with getting blisters because I didn't have time to wear them before the trip, but not to worry - these things were extremely comfortable! They are lightweight and the tread is very "grippy" (but not so "grippy" that I'm tripping over my feet!). They look nice and even though that's not a feature I really look for in a hiking shoe, it's still good because who doesn't want to look good on safari? I mean, if I'm going to get eaten by a lion, I might as well look good too. In all seriousness, these are great shoes and coming from someone who is very particular about comfort and durability, they get 5 stars from me.
