Saucony Lady ProGrid Razor Running Shoes. Based on the hugely popular ProGrid Xodus, the ProGrid Razor takes the battle against the elements several steps further to create the ultimate in off road shoes. Saucony have built a shoe which will maintain comfort no matter what terrain you take on. EVA Midsole - A diverse midsole material which is durable, lightweight, and provides responsive cushioning. Rearfoot Grid Cushioning - for a stable ride that will also give you responsive cushioning when you need it the most. Rearfoot and Forefoot HRC cushioning - provides responsive impact absorbtion and dynamic toe-off respetively. SRC - SRC is an upgraded EVA which not only provides 15% more resilience but 10% greater durability too. This makes the shoe more responsive and helps it retains its cushioning characteristics for longer. HRC Strobel Board - The HRC added to the board gives an instant feel of comfort and cushioning. Midfoot Bridge - A rigid material in the shank area of the midsole keeps the foot neutral in the midfoot phase of the gait cycle. XT900 Rubber Forefoot and Rearfoot - Saucony\'s carbon rubber outsole material which offers exceptional traction properties without sacrificing durability. Blown and Carbon Rubber - Saucony\'s elite combination of blown rubber and carbon rubber. This lightweight, flexible outsole material provides added cushioning while maintaining durability. Underneath all that protection, there is still a proper running shoe to keep you cushioned, stable and protected from impact on every stride. The zip and hook and loop closure keeps out mud, stones and other enemies on your off-road run whilst eVent is just about the most breathable waterproof fabric available.

Gave me a decisive victory over snowy trails

My adventure of trail running in Vibram 5 Fingers has been thwarted by the significant snowfall that's struck North Jersey last week. This week the snow has been busy melting, and my Vibram's have been busy allowing water to seep in and allowing my feet to be assaulted and crippled by sharp rocks. I couldn't take anymore and I couldn't give up running, so I caved in and and bought these lifeboats. They are amazing! My running trail has turned into a small, snow covered river of melt and mud. The Razors cruised through and kept my feet warm and bone-dry. They were anointed repeatedly in several inches of water. No problem! The tread consists of a very predominant lateral pattern. I think this is important to mention because since my childhood, I've hiked on a lot of hilly terrain and learned at an early age to walk sideways for more traction on steep hills. The tread and grip on the Razors is very strong and eliminates the need for sideways-stepping up and down hills. Even more important to mention is that I found the predominant lateral tread can tend to slip more when navigating hills sideways. The only drawback I found is some foot discomfort from inadequate support around the toes and ball of my right foot, hence my 4-star rating.. I believe a good insole will take care of that. These are definitely the cat's pajamas!

Truly waterproof!

I had my doubts as to whether my feet would really stay dry but they worked wonderfully, even after going through wet grass on a drizzly day. They are a comfortable fit, fairly light in weight and stable. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do in the snow!

I use this pair of shoes to keep debris out! I run in the back-country and find it a nuisance to clean socks of grasses and other debris that accumulates when running off trail! The built in gator does the trick!
