Minimal and Yet Durable!

I'm a fitness professional that lives in athletic shoes all day. Regular shoes are so bulky, so about 2 yrs ago, I started making the switch to lighter shoes. Well, I recently came across these and must say they are awesomely comfortable and very, very light. The bottom sole is much more rugged than your typical light shoe. I haven't put them to the trail test yet, but am excited to try it out.I have a neutral gait and have a slightly wider than normal foot and they are not too tight. I love that the shoes do not direct my knees in or out with walking.If you've been wearing normal athletic shoes, these may take a little time to get used to if your feet are not strong. If wearing a light shoe is new to you, let your feet get used to them before extensive running or plyometrics.Great shoe, fits very well and looks good on the feet!

I've been running in these for a couple of months now. I average about 5 - 6 miles a run. I initially bought it because I wanted a light and good-looking hiking shoe. It was great on the hike, and I feel like I run faster in these than in my usual Asics shoe. This is the lightest running shoe I've ever owned, and I didn't buy insoles for them like I usually do since I wanted to try out the newer, lighter trend in running shoes.I don't know if it's a placebo-effect or not, but I feel like I can run farther and longer in these... and my run time is a bit faster these days, though I can't say if that's because of the shoe or if I'm just getting quicker. When I run, I usually run on paved road / sidewalk, and occasionally run on grass. I haven't attempted to do any trail running in these (only trail hiking).My feet are medium width. One thing I noticed was when I wore thin socks, I felt a slight rubbing on my baby toe after the first few miles. This was easily fixed by wearing thicker socks when running longer distances.I'd recommend these for walking, hiking, and running.

I absolutely love these shoes. I am not a big runner, but I hop on the treadmill and jog a couple of times a week. These are so comfortable and light. I recently paid $120 for the new Asics Gel Kayano's and barely wear them anymore. I would recommend these to anyone!
