When the mercury drops, cozy up with the Merrell Encore Ice mule, a slip-on shoe that offers slipper-like comfort indoors and out. An update to the popular Merrell Encore Chill Stitch, this women's clog has a full grain leather, suede or nubuck upper and is lined in genuine sheepskin to embrace your foot with warmth; a slightly raised back adds a touch of coverage at the heel. Beneath the wool fleece-covered footbed, a molded nylon arch shank, Merrell's women's-specific Q-Form comfort features and an Air Cushion heel lend support, shock absorption and energy return to every step. The Merrell Encore Ice clog is finished with a sticky rubber outsole to keep footing secure.

Warm and lightweight shoe

I was looking for a clog type shoe for the winter that is warm and lightweight and offers toe protection - this shoe does deliver! It seems true to size as well, even with the lining (which is very soft and warm.)The description of "cement" may lead you to think the shoe is heavy but it is not. In fact, it is lighter than another popular brand name orthopedic clog. So far, I am very pleased with these shoes and will try other styles from Merrell as well.

I had purchased the Merrell Encore Ice Shoes in brown and was very impressed. I purchased these at our local Cabela's. They were comfortable plus warm for our cool days in the midwest. I then wanted these same shoes in black. I checked on Amazon and purchased them. They arrived in perfect condition plus quickly. I would purchase again when I need shoes from them.

These shoes are amazing - great fit (exactly like my other pairs of Merrells) and super comfortable from the minute you put them on; there's no need to wear them in. I was a bit annoyed that they scuffed the first time I wore them, but that's just how the material is. Otherwise, I couldn't be happier - it's like walking around in cozy slippers.
