best walking shoe ever

After years of trying to find a good shoe for walking I am pleased to say this one is it! I have bought several pairs of Nike, Reebok, Asic, etc....none have been comfortable! The toe width is too narrow and the heel comes up too high on my ankles. Neither is a problem with Merrell's Bare Access Arc 2. I will definitely be buying more of these!

These shoes are a perfect fit and are very comfortable. They're very lightweight and very breathable - not at all like a typical "sturdy" running shoe. I've run in them maybe a dozen times since I got them (1-2.5 miles at a time at 7.5mph) and I've never felt soreness afterwards. For my first experience in "near-barefoot" running I'd say these shoes make it easy. I'm a forefoot striker and have a medium-high arch. The jury's still out on whether I underpronate or not...I've never had my foot assessed in a pro stores (too afraid of being coerced into buying a high-priced sneaker I can't afford LOL!) I would definitely buy these shoes again.

I've worn Brooks shoes for years, for workouts and walking; but I wanted to try out a light-weight shoe. Not only is this Merrell shoe great for walking, but it gives exactly the kind of support I need for lunges and squats in weight class. These shoes are true to size, with a roomy toebox. The arch support is just right for relieving plantar fasciitis pain, as well. I like them so much, I ordered a pair for my husband. I will definitely buy another pair. Thank you, Merrell!PS The green ones attract a lot of attention!
