Heralding the end of wet, Outdry technology uses a patented lamination process to apply a waterproof, breathable membrane directly to the upper. This provides a better fit and prevents water from seeping into the space created by traditional waterproof "bladders." As for the rest, the clever heel capture system features dual-density Techlite foam that provides firm support under the heel and tapers off to softer foam towards the eyestay for incredibly smooth heel-to-toe transitions. This also provides a comfortable, conforming fit where trail runners say they need it most. Designed for performance from the ground up, the Ravenous features a multi-directional lugged outsole with Omni-Grip rubber for superb traction on wet, muddy or rough terrain. Minimal overlays and highly breathable mesh on the upper provides lightweight comfort. Engineered forefoot flexibility and a lateral crash zone ensure correct fit that accommodates a trail runner's natural foot motion. My Second Pair--Get 'em While You Can

I love this shoe and it is being/has been discontinued, so I just bought the last pair in my size. It is well made and has not started falling apart like a lot of shoes I have bought. The mesh is still in good condition after a fair amount of wear.I love the waterproof capability of this shoe. You can walk through wet grass without it going through your shoe. When it rains it won't come through the top of the shoe. Also, my feet get cold easily and with today's mostly mesh running shoes I feel the breeze through the mesh and it is not a good thing. So these keep your feet a little warmer than the average running shoe, which for me is a plus.Comfortable, good but not extreme arch support, good traction. Honestly I don't use them to run but I take many walks at a brisk pace through all kinds of terrain and these are a good choice.Sizing: I usually wear a 7 or 7.5 and I bought these in 7.5. I wear them with SmartWool socks. The toe box is relatively wide and roomy. I have never gotten a blister with these shoes and I may make them my hiking shoes.

Why do I always find a shoe I love just as it is closing out? I would buy this in every color if they were available. It fits beautifully and keeps my feet feeling great all day, no aches at the end of the day like some other athletic shoes I've worn. Also, I have a minor knee injury and this shoe has helped keep it stable and cushioned, perfect!

This is a cute, lightweight shoe with good traction. I haven't tested the waterproof aspect of it yet, but I get a lot of compliments on them.
